About Milli & MJPA

When I founded MJPA, it wasn't simply because I wanted to open another dance school. It was because, after more than a decade working as a professional dancer, teacher and choreographer, I had a clear vision of what performing arts education could and should be.

Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of teaching at some of the UK's leading dance organisations, including the London Contemporary Dance School, East London Dance and Greenwich Dance. I've also worked with students of every age and ability in dance schools across the country. Those experiences shaped not only the way I teach, but the values I wanted MJPA to be built upon.

I believe young performers thrive in an environment where they are challenged, encouraged and genuinely enjoy learning. Excellence doesn't come from endless hours in the studio or placing unnecessary financial pressure on families. It comes from consistency, commitment, curiosity and a love for the art form.

That belief is at the heart of everything we do at MJPA.

Our philosophy is simple:

  • We maintain high standards without expecting burnout or creating unnecessary financial burden for families.

  • We believe that more classes don't automatically make better dancers. A strong work ethic, a willingness to learn and a genuine desire to improve will always matter more.

  • We create a safe and supportive environment where young people are encouraged to aim high without feeling the pressure to be perfect. Every child develops at their own pace, and that journey deserves to be celebrated.

  • We ensure every class is both challenging and enjoyable, because we know children learn best when they feel inspired, supported and excited to come through the door.

My hope is that every student who joins MJPA leaves not only as a stronger performer, but as a more confident, resilient and happy young person.

As an accredited teacher with both the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) and the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD), I remain committed to delivering the highest standards of dance education while never losing sight of what matters most: nurturing a lifelong love of performing arts.

Thank you for trusting us to be part of your child's journey. I can't wait to welcome you to the MJPA family.

With love,

Milli
